Aah, a fresh new blog, ready for me to crumple and soil with imperfect English. Not only do I have a new blog, I also have a new digital camera, wot I used to take the header picture with. Yes, I am now digitally enhanced and plugged in to the blogosphere.
The paper crane in the picture was given to me by the new owner of my old bed, a girl whose mother found my details on Freecycle. I was delighted to get rid of it (it used to belong to ex; surely bad feng shui to have brought it with me to my new flat?), and they seemed delighted to have found it. I just hope they can fix it, or the daughter will be spending her nights on broken slats, folded up like her paper crane.
A couple of other benevolent furniture exchanges later, and I am left with the bare walls and many brown boxes packed and ready to go. My move to Germany creeps closer and I’m still not feeling excited yet – weighed down with memories from Bath, I think. Hopefully I will be able to shake those off on the plane somewhere over Belgium. I knew flying must be good for something.
